Whilst The Royal Society of Western Australia is now over 100 years old, it is the youngest compared to the Royal Societies in other states. Australia’s Royal Societies have been at the forefront of the development of scientific thought and practice in Australia and have given rise to many of its major research institutions and professional bodies.
